Jumana, you are really enjoying being at
pre –school and certainly likes to try new things and today you wanted to give
the scissor a try.
As I was setting up the art table;
colours, some papers, and scissors, jumana was watching me "I like using
scissors" she said. Firstly she started grasping the scissor but her
fingers are very small and the finger hole is large .jumana, you could grasp
the scissor, good try! at this point I sat next to her," jumana , you can
put more than one finger through the same hole" I explained, then I
watched her what she will do .she put the thumb through one hole and the index
and middle fingers through the same hole, yes jumana, you did it! ."now
you keep the ring and little fingers tucked away by putting this little piece
of paper under them" I explained. mashallah you have done very well, finally she was so
happy with her great job.
Review of learning: through this
experience I observed that jumana as a confident and involved learner. I
watched as you expressed wonder and interest in your environment' I like using
scissors'. You were eager to cut papers, I like your concentration smiling, and
I think you will strength your hand muscles. You worked very hard to create it.
What is next: maybe next time I will help
you to improve your fine motor skills and give your fingers lots of
practice in working together.
